The Texas Home Living program provides essential services and supports for eligible Texans with intellectual disabilities or related conditions who live in their own home or family home.
United Hands helps individuals use TxHmL services to strengthen daily living, health, safety, communication, community participation, relationships, and employment—without taking control away from the person or family.
TxHmL Supports Life at Home.
TxHmL does not include HCS residential services. The individual continues living in their own home or family home while receiving authorized services that supplement natural supports and other available resources.

Every TxHmL service must connect to the individual’s person-directed plan, authorized individual plan of care, and implementation plan. United Hands collaborates with the individual, legally authorized representative, service coordinator, and other chosen team members so services support meaningful, measurable outcomes.
