Licensed Day Activity and Health Services (DAHS).

Our adult day program is licensed by Texas Health and Human Services. It offers supervision, social connection, wellness support, and help with daily needs during the day — so participants stay engaged and families have dependable, caring support they can count on.

A DAY AT UNITED HANDS

• Arrival & welcome — safe transportation and a friendly greeting to start the day.
  
• Skills & socialization — small-group activities shaped around interests and goals.
  
• A shared meal — nutritious meals and snacks through our CACFP-participating kitchen, with attention to dietary needs.
  
• Wellness, watched over — routine health monitoring and support throughout the day.
  
• Out in the community — regular outings that build confidence and connection.
  
• Home again — a safe ride home at day’s end.

WHO IT’S FOR

Adults who benefit from daytime structure, supervision, and connection — including older adults and adults with disabilities. Each person’s needs are reviewed before admission to confirm we can provide support safely and responsibly.

MORE THAN A DAY PROGRAM

For individuals enrolled in HCS or TxHmL, center-based time can also support Individualized Skills and Socialization (ISS) goals when authorized. We help coordinate the right mix with your service planning team.

TRANSPORTATION & MEALS

Accessible transportation is available for program participants depending on route, schedule, and vehicle capacity. Nutritious meals and snacks are provided during center-based programming, with dietary needs reviewed before services begin.
