Why Showing Up Matters

Attendance matters because the semester is designed to build week by week. Each hands-on lab, Bible project, and discussion layer adds meaning to the next one. Regular attendance helps learners complete the full cycle of practice, review, and celebration.

Simple Ways to Reinforce This Month

  • Practice Safety Words: Integrate these words into daily routines: ASK, DANGER, EXIT, HELP, HOT, QUIET, SHELTER, STOP, WAIT, WASH, WATER.
  • Use Weekly Prompts: Use one specific weekly prompt from our Family Guide at dinner, during a ride, or after the learner returns home.
  • Praise Communication: Celebrate any style of response, including pointing, yes/no, gestures, pictures, or device use.
  • Display Pride: Display one favorite project or trace strip at home to build pride and recall.
